Dance school celebrates after clinching 73 medals in contest
THE glitz, glamour and colourful costumes - you could be looking at a scene from Strictly Come Dancing.
But this photograph wasn't taken at BBC studios in London - this is strictly Barnsley.
Here we see just some of the girls who represented the Lisa J Wood School of Dance, based in Birdwell, in the North East Classical Sequence, Ballroom and Latin competition.
And they returned home after making their teacher very proud.
Lisa said: "The competition was held in a glorious, if somewhat bracing, Whitby at the pavilion.
"A great day was had by all and at the end of the day the school won a grand total of 73 medals."
Lisa started dancing at the age of four as a pupil of E G Eaton School of Dancing.
And after years competing in all different disciplines she turned professional in 1988.
Lisa took to the floor and established her own dancing school after the retirement of her teacher.
The school caters for everyone from beginner to professional and of all ages.
