A badly damaged public footpath in Barnsley has been resurfaced.
Voluntary Action Barnsley, a local landowner and Barnsley Council staff carried out the work on the path, which links Bolton-Upon-Dearne train station with the Bolton Brick Yard Ponds.
The path had become rutted because of illegal vehicle use.
Coun Roy Miller, Barnsley Council’s cabinet spokesman for Development, Environment and Culture, said: “This is a great example of partnership working between the council, the voluntary sector and the community.
“As the council continues to change the services it provides due to funding cuts this will become a more viable way of improving local areas.”
