A CYCLIST is in hospital today with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car in Sheffield.
The 34-year-old man was riding along Carr Road, in Deepcar, when he collided with a grey Citroen Berlingo at around 11.40am yesterday.
He was travelling around a slight bend heading towards Manchester Road when he was hit by the Citroen, which was heading in the opposite direction.
The cyclist, from Rotherham, was taken to the Northern General Hospital, while the driver of the Citroen - a 75-year-old man from Deepcar - was not injured.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 394 of September 18, 2012.
