CAMPAIGNERS fighting public spending cuts in Doncaster will be discussing last week’s riots across England this week.
Doncaster Coalition of Resistance is holding a meeting entitled Austerity, Riots and Resistance, with representatives from unions and other campaign groups expected to attend.
Hundreds have been brought before the courts following violence and looting in London and other cities. The Prime Minister blamed a ‘moral collapse’.
The main speaker is Zita Holbourne, who is speaking on behalf of BARAC – Black Activists Rising Against the Cuts. The meeting starts at the Danum Hotel, High Street, on Thursday at 7pm.
