Friendly Fred, a cute crossbreed Staffy, is looking to become somebody’s beloved canine companion.

He is currently being cared for by staff at the RSPCA Sheffield branch, who have nicknamed him ‘Chocs’, due to his gorgeous chocolate coat and big puppy dog brown eyes.

But despite winning over his carers, eight-year-old Fred is desperate to find his forever home, with an owner he can call his own.

RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham, said: “Fred loves company, enjoys being out and about and has a very sunny disposition.

“He is a beautiful and friendly dog who has no known health problems.

“Fred will just need some continued training to build his confidence and to work on certain areas and for these reasons, we would prefer an adult-only home, or one where any children are over 16, so that he is given the time to shine.

“We are also looking for a home where Fred can be the only dog. Although he is fine around other dogs, he would prefer to have his owner’s love and attention all to himself.

“If you can give friendly Fred a forever home, we would really love to introduce you.”
