Kira the Staffy crossbreed has made it her New Year’s resolution to find a new loving home.

Like many others the seven-year-old pooch is also hoping to shift a few excess pounds in the new year and is hoping a motivated owner could help her achieve her goals.

Staffy crossbreed Kira is currently being cared for at the RSPCA Sheffield branch but is hoping to find her forever home in 2015

Acting animal care manager for the RSPCA Sheffield branch Tammy Wilson, says Kira arrived at the centre due to welfare issues but is confident she has a bright 2015 ahead.

“Loving Kira is a larger than life lady at the minute and she is in need of a strict diet to regain her full health and activity levels,” said Tammy.

“She is a happy and friendly dog who will be well worth the bit of extra input to watch her slim down and help her to reach a healthier weight.

“New Year is all about new starts – and Kira would love to find a caring home where she can give and receive love.

“As with all the animals adopted from our centre, Kira is neutered, inoculated, vet and dental checked and she will leave with one month’s free pet insurance.

“Apart from her need to lose a bit of weight, she has no known health issues.”
