Gentle giant Clifford has a ‘ruff’ story to tell about his past but is hoping to start a new chapter in his life with a loving owner.
The Japanese Akita came to be cared for at the RSPCA Sheffield branch after being removed from his previous home due to an inspector’s welfare concerns.
At around three-years-old, the cute pup has a lot of love to give to a new owner he can call his own.
RSPCA Sheffield branch animal care manager Tony Benham said: “Clifford is a big, cheerful chap who deserves a second chance in life.
“He has a gorgeous white and brindle coat and glorious regal looks.
“Clifford adores being with people and it is heartbreaking to see his big friendly face looking out of the kennel waiting for the right person to adopt him.
“He just wants a home where he can love and be loved.
“He is super eager to please and he has made a huge impact on the staff with his fabulous handsome looks, loving personality and winning-ways.”
Clifford has no known health problems and is neutered, inoculated, vet and dental checked and will leave the RSPCA with one month’s free pet insurance.
RSPCA staff say that as well as regular exercise, Clifford will also require further training with his basic commands – a task which will be fulfilling and fun for his new owner.
