Sheffield’s Tesco store on Infirmary Road has made the top ten of the supermarket giant’s fundraising branches in the UK.
The store raised over £12,800 towards the £10 million raised nationally for Diabetes UK, putting them in the top ten out of 3.146 stores.
The money was raised through car boot sales, foreign currency donations and can recycling.
Store manager Mick Somerset said: “We’d like to thank customers for their generous donations. We couldn’t have raised the huge total without the support of the community.”
