An exciting week with Chesterfield making it through to the JPT final, despite losing to League Two title rivals Fleetwood in the semi-final second leg, and the mouth-watering prospect of an all-Sheffield FA Cup quarter-final as a result of the Blades’ magnificent 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

United are the lowest ranked side left in the Cup and they remain 80/1 to lift the trophy but they will play host to either Wednesday or Charlton next month and let’s hope the Owls (100/1 ahead of the Charlton tie) take care of the Addicks on Monday in the rearranged fifth round tie.

Manchester City, no match for Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday, are 10/11 favourites with Arsenal threes, Everton fives, Hull 12 and Sunderland 16s. Peterborough are 4/7 to lift the JPT Trophy at Wembley, after limping over the line against Swindon on penalties, Chesterfield 5/4 outsiders.

Back in the Championship and Barnsley are now 1/5 to be playing in League One next term after their defeat at the DW Stadium on Tuesday and we think there is now only one spot up for grabs with Yeovil the same price despite their goalless draw with Watford.

The Reds just have to win their home games against fellow strugglers and you feel Danny Wilson’s side must beat Millwall at Oakwell at the weekend. The Reds are 11/8 to get all three points with the Lions 23/10 and the draw the same price. A win would take Barnsley within two points of Millwall with a game in hand but a defeat would take the London side eight points clear. This is a big, big game.

Rovers travel to bottom-of-the-table Yeovil and are 12/5 for the points with the Glovers 13/10 and the draw 23/10. This is a game Paul Dickov’s side cannot afford to lose. I feel Rovers may have to settle for a 1-1 draw which is priced at 6s with BetVictor.

Rotherham are 11/4 for promotion into the Championship. They travel to Brunton Park looking for a 10th win on the road this season. Carlisle and the draw are both 5/2 with Rotherham 23/20 to maintain their promotion charge.

The Blades are 23/20 to pick up all three points against Bristol City (27/10). United are 6/1 to go do.

Chesterfield travel to Wycombe as the 6/4 title favourites and are a shade of odds on at 23/20 to gain another three points to cement their place at the top of the table.
