WORKSOP police station looks set to survive a cull of buildings set for closure.
Nottinghamshire Police bosses are to close 12 of their 42 stations and only operate enquiry desks at 19.
They say selling off buildings will raised £880,000 and save almost £720,000 a year in rent and running costs - the equivalent of 50 police staff jobs.
Assistant Chief Constable Paul Scarrott said: “These buildings are also old, they are expensive to maintain and are a drain on funding.”
The plan is to be discussed by Police Authority today.
