AN E-fit has been issued of man police want to trace after a woman was hit in the face during a robbery.

The culprit struck on the Trades Club car park, Greasbrough Road, Rotherham, in the early hours of Sunday, November 13, when his victim was walking to her car.

He attempted to grab her handbag and hit the woman in her face when she struggled to keep hold of her belongings.

But she then dropped her bag and the robber grabbed her Blackberry Curve mobile phone and ran off.

Police said the woman suffered a broken thumb during the robbery and was left ‘shocked and distressed’.

The offender was in his early 20s and had chin length dark hair, which was greasy and curly.

He was around 5ft 5ins, skinny and on the night of the robbery was wearing a white hooded top with a red jacket and dark trousers and shoes.
