WITNESSES to a crash on the M1 in South Yorkshire are being urged to come forward.
The crash, just before junction 31 of the southbound carriageway at Aston, happened during heavy rain and wind.
A grey BMW and a red Nissan Micra were both badly damaged, as was a crash barrier. The collision happened at 3.10am on Tuesday, January 3. Call South Yorkshire Police.
Arrests over blazes
TWO youths aged 15 and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of arson after fires at the Deja Vu Café and Papa’s Fish and Chip Shop in Worksop in the early hours of Monday.
A 24-year-old man in a flat above the cafe suffered smoke inhalation and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Fire started on bus
A DOUBLE-decker bus was forced to pull over on Birley Moor Road, Frecheville, Sheffield, after a fire was started on the top deck. Tickets and newspapers were set alight, which generated smoke. On-board CCTV camera footage is to be studied to identify the culprits.
POLICE and paramedics were called to a retail park after a collision between two cars. The male driver of a Saab and the female driver of a Peugeot were left shaken following the bump at the Ravenside Retail Park in Chesterfield at 3pm on Wednesday.
A COOKER was destroyed and a kitchen smoke damaged when a pan caught fire after being left on the hob. Firefighters tackled the blaze on Pit Lane, Intake, Sheffield.
