This is the menacing face of a terrifying gunman who held up an off-licence in Sheffield.
The robber was caught on CCTV bursting into Mosborough Off Licence with a gun.
He thought he had concealed his identity by pulling his hoodie tight around his face and pressing the fabric into his mouth.
But he was caught staring face-on into the lens of one of the cameras inside the shop.
The hooded raider – who was today being hunted by police – escaped with £815 from the till.
And detectives investigating the raid on the shop on High Street, Mosborough, have issued the robber’s image from a closed-circuit TV camera in the store, in the hope someone may recognise the offender and be able to name him.
The thug was white, around 5ft 10ins tall, and slim.
He was wearing a dark grey Adidas hooded top, a woollen hat, black jogging bottoms and dark gloves.
Police, who are scouring CCTV footage and have carried out door-to-door inquiries, say that after the robbery the gunman made his getaway in a dark coloured Audi.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “A man wearing dark clothing entered the off-licence armed with a handgun, and made demands for the contents of the till.
“He left the store with £815 and officers believe he made his escape in a dark coloured Audi.”
