She was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Yorkshire Police last night arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of murder but he has since been released on bail.

A police spokesman said: “Mrs Foster was found in a collapsed state and pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.

“Cause of death was not determined as a result of the post-mortem however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

“Toxicology reports have been requested.”

Residents have spoken of their shock at the death and police today carried out door to door enquiries.

A tent was placed over the spot where the body was found while forensic experts carried out their investigation.

The road is now open but a cordon remains in place.
