Two next-door burglaries are linked by detectives

Police are linking an attempted burglary and a burglary at neighbouring homes, where jewellery and other items were stolen.

Two houses next door to each other were targeted. The first had a window smashed and every room was searched by raiders, but nothing was taken.

In the second house, burglars got in through a rear conservatory door and a search was made.

Jewellery, a ladies’ wristwatch, an antique pocket watch as well as office and computer equipment were stolen.

Police are now linking the two crimes, both on Northern Common, Dronfield Woodhouse, and urging anyone with information to come forward.

The attempted burglary happened between 3pm on Saturday, February 15, and Thursday, February 20.

The burglary took place sometime between 9.30am on Monday, February 17, and 9.30am on Tuesday, February 18.
