Two men and a woman have been arrested over three robberies at convenience stores across Rotherham over the last week.

The men, aged 34 and 28, and the woman, 32, were arrested in the Highfield Road area of Swinton and Hawthorne Road area of Wath today.

They were all arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody.

Police arrested them over a raid at Blaney’s newsagents on Highthorn Road, Kilnhurst, at 8pm on Tuesday, January 6; a raid at the Mighali convenience store on Claypit Lane, Rawmarsh, at 8.15pm on Friday, January 9 and a robbery at Londis convenience store on Church Street, Swinton, at 9.05pm was reported on Saturday, 10 January.
