A THIRD man has been charged over the shooting of a Sheffield man on a city housing estate.
The 24-year-old has been charged with possessing a firearm with intent to commit an offence, and is due to appear before Sheffield magistrates tomorrow.
He was arrested on Friday over the shooting of an 18-year-old man in Halfway Gardens, Halfway, in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Police said the victim had been to a house party and was shot on a communal area of grass outside.
Two other men charged over the shooting appeared at court on Saturday.
Raymond Swindells, 29, is charged with possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence, possessing an offensive weapon and affray.
Stuart Hurst, 27, is charged with possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence, possessing a firearm whilst prohibited and affray.
The men, whose addresses have not been given but who are said to be local, have been remanded in custody.
