A third man has been charged over a kidnapping incident in Sheffield.

Gamal Parsons, aged 30, of Ironside Road, Gleadless, Sheffield, is due to appear before city magistrates today accused of two counts of kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment, three counts of blackmail, two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply and offences under the Firearms Act.

He will be joined in court by Mubarrack Nassar Hassan, 24, of Glossop Road, Broomhill and Ahmed Ismail, 22, of Exeter Drive, Broomhall, who were charged in connection with the incident over the weekend.

Two 22-year-old women and a 24-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Armed police were called to an address on Blackstock Road, Gleadless, on Friday night at about 6pm.

South Yorkshire Police said they had arrested six people on suspicion of kidnap.
