MOTORISTS are being urged to remove all valuables from their cars following a spate of thefts.
Over recent weeks, Derbyshire Police said it has received an increase in reports of thefts in Dronfield, Eckington and Clay Cross.
A wallet was stolen from a car parked in Lightwood Road, Marsh Lane, Eckington, overnight on Saturday, September 15, after the thief smashed a front window.
The day before a jacket, mobile phone, wallet and sunglasses were taken from an unlocked car parked on a driveway in Mansfield Road, Hasland.
And on Monday, August 27, a thief opened the unlocked boot took of a car parked in Baker Street, Kill amarsh, and took a sat nav, groceries and bathroom fixtures.
