A PENSIONER had cash stolen from her home after answering a knock the door to a man claiming to be a water board official.
The 89-year-old, of West Street, Clowne, Derbyshire, opened her door to a man at 7pm on Thursday and allowed him into her home after he said he needed to check her water supply.
He kept her in the kitchen for around five minutes while pretending to look at the water supply.
When he left, she realised cash had been taken from one of her drawers.
Witnesses or anyone who saw the man calling at the OAP’s home should contact Derbyshire Police.
