Two Sheffield teenagers, aged 15 and 17, are to be sentenced after admitting two burglaries.

The boys, from Woodhouse, admitted two charges of burglary committed on Bluemans Way, Catcliffe, on Thursday, November 8.

Jewellery and a laptop computer were stolen, although the items have since been returned to their owners.

The 17-year-old has been remanded in custody until sentencing, while the 15-year-old is on bail.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police would like to remind residents of the importance of keeping their homes secure during these dark winter months. We recommend the use of timer switches on interior lighting throughout the house to make burglars think someone is home.”
