Teenage boy remanded in custody over three shootings in Sheffield

A teenage boy has appeared at court charged over three shootings in Sheffield on the same night.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was arrested after officers were alerted to three shootings in Parson Cross and Southey Green between 9.30pm and 11.10pm on Monday.

A door was shot at on Deerlands Road, Parson Cross, in an attack which left a 13-year-old girl with minor injuries.

And cars were fired at outside homes on Lindsay Avenue, Parson Cross and Barrie Crescent, Southey Green.

The suspect has been remanded into youth detention accommodation until August 7.
