A teenage boy arrested on suspicion of rape in a Rotherham park has been bailed.
The 16-year-old was arrested following a report of a sex attack in a park off Warren Road, Wickersley, on Monday, July 13.
He was released from police custody after being quizzed by detectives.
The alleged victim is receiving specialist police support.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “The investigation into a reported rape on Monday evening is continuing.
“The victim is currently receiving care and support from specialist officers and this assistance will continue to be provided for her.
“A 16-year-old boy arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed while officers conduct further enquiries.”
