South Yorkshire firefighters tackle arson attacks over weekend

Firefighters in South Yorkshire dealt with a series of arson attacks over the weekend.

Last night they were alerted to a car found burning in Farm Road, Kendray, Barnsley; a pile of rubbish set alight in Stevens Road, Balby, Doncaster and rubbish torched in Daresbury Drive, Arbourthorne, Sheffield.

On Saturday a Vauxhall Astra was set alight in Richmond Park Avenue, Kimberworth, Rotherham; a motorbike was torched in Castlebeck Avenue, Manor, Sheffield; a fire was set in a garden in Cavendish Road, Holmes, Rotherham and a van was fired in Ripon Street, Attercliffe, Sheffield.
