A teenage boy is due to go on trial tomorrow over the murder of a Sheffield man.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court charged with the murder of 23-year-old Joe Walker.
Detectives launched a murder inquiry following the discovery of Mr Walker’s body slumped on land off Raynald Road in Manor, Sheffield, at around 5am on Saturday, September 21 last year following reports of a disturbance.
Mr Walker, from Intake, had suffered a single stab wound and was rushed to the Northern General Hospital, where he could not be revived and later died.
The 17-year-old suspect, who was charged the following day, denies murder.
