A woman murdered in her home in Sheffield has been named and police have revealed she was stabbed to death.
The body of Anayat Bibi, aged 39, was found in her home on Vickers Road, Firth Park, on Sunday morning.
She was formally identified yesterday, on the day police revealed the results of a post mortem examination.
She died from multiple stab wounds.
Police initially arrested three men - aged 83, 42 and 20 - on suspicion of murder but released the older and younger suspects on bail pending further inquiries.
The 42-year-old remains in police custody today.
Police were called to the crime scene at 11.35am on Sunday and neighbours said they saw police officers leading three men out of the house in handcuffs.
They cordoned off the property and a section of the road while forensics experts examined the house.
Officers from South Yorkshire Police’s major incident team have been carrying out door to door inquiries looking for neighbours who may have seen or heard anything.
