A man charged with three burglaries in Sheffield is accused of being a bogus official who preyed on elderly victims.
The 19-year-old is accused of stealing money from three homes he called at after claiming to be conducting a survey.
The incidents occurred on Bradway Road, Bradway, on September 11, Westwick Road, Greenhill, on September 18 and Bocking Lane, Beauchief, on October 3.
Sheffield magistrates remanded the man in custody until his case is heard at Sheffield Crown Court on October 29.
