British Transport Police have released an image of a man after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a train in South Yorkshire.

The woman was indecently assaulted on a train between Doncaster and Thorne North on Tuesday, May 5, at about 1.50pm.

Investigating officer Det Con Lee Parsons said: “The victim boarded the train at Doncaster where a man took a seat next to her. He engaged her in conversation before indecently assaulting her.

“She left the train at Thorne North while the man remained on the train.

“It is vital we speak to the man in the images and we urge him or anyone who recognises him to contact us immediately to assist with our enquiries.”
