A man who sexually exploited two 15-year-old girls has had his prison sentence doubled.

Lee Pearson of Wright Street, North Anston, was jailed for six years in June following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

The 28-year-old was found guilty of rape, sexual activity with a child and sexual assault.

The sentence given to Pearson was referred to the Court of Appeal amid concerns it was ‘unduly lenient’.

Judges agreed and his prison sentence was increased to 12 years.
