TRADESMEN are being urged to security-code all their equipment to make it easier to identify if it ever goes missing.
The North East Derbyshire Community Safety Partnership is hosting a property marking evening at Dronfield Civic Centre on May 1. Vans and equipment can be marked up between 4pm and 7pm.
Partnership chairman Lilian Robinson said: “A van full of tools can be a draw for thieves, but people can take steps to protect their property.
“We would urge people to take a few minutes to pop to the event and have their vehicles and tools marked.”
