A SECOND man has been charged with the shooting of a dad gunned down on his doorstep.

Stephen Barry Rodgers, aged 29, from Thurnscoe, is accused of attempted murder and robbery.

The attack left 42-year-old Tyrone Woodhead fighting for life. He is still in hopsital.

Mr Woodhead, of Doncaster Road, Wath-upon-Dearne, was shot on his doorstep on Thursday, September 20.

A neighbour gave emergency first aid until medics arrived.

Rodgers was arrested in Southport, Merseyside, last Thursday and appeared at Rotherham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday.

Nathan Wingfield, 22, of no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder, robbery and aggravated burglary earlier this month.
