Police have arrested another suspect over the murder of a Barnsley man last month.

The 40-year-old was quizzed by detectives over the death of 51-year-old Gary Roy Collins, whose body was discovered in a house in Sackville Street on February 18.

He was arrested on suspicion of murder and bailed pending further inquiries.

A 27-year-old man initially arrested on suspicion of murder was released without charge after questioning.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers discovered the body of Mr Collins following concerns raised by his family.

“A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests are being carried out to establish the cause of the death.”
