POLICE officers in Sheffield plan to host an open day so residents can find out more about police work in a city suburb.
The event will be held in the Vestry Hall, Burngreave, on Saturday, and will run from 11am until 4pm.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We’re running a number of informative presentations so people can find out more about stop and search, guns and gangs, hate crime and how we support victims of crime.
“There will also be a number of stalls offering advice about crime prevention and personal safety and South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue will be on hand to discuss fire safety.
South Yorkshire’s new Police and Crime Commissioner Shaun Wright will officially open the event.
