Rotherham parking fraudsters fined

Two ‘blue badge’ fraudsters who used disability parking permits illegally have been prosecuted.

Atiya Khan, aged 43, of Jardine Street, Sheffield, pleaded guilty to using her son’s blue badge to park her car in Rotherham’s Scala car park in March this year when her child was at school at the time.

She was fined £150 and ordered to pay £300 in costs.

Bilal Malik, 26, of Manor Crescent, Brinsworth, pleaded guilty to using his sister’s blue badge to park his car on Chapel Walk, Rotherham, in March this year when his sister was not present.

He too was fined £150 and ordered to pay £300 in costs by Rotherham magistrates.
