Two men and a woman arrested over a bank robbery in Rotherham have been bailed.

The trio - men aged 26 and 36, and a 27-year-old woman - were quizzed yesterday over a raid at Yorkshire Bank, Broad Street, Parkgate, on Friday morning.

They were held on suspicion of robbery before being released pending further enquiries.

A 52-year old man arrested on suspicion of robbery over the weekend, and a 39-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, are also on bail.

Two men brandishing guns threatened staff in the bank before escaping with cash.

They assaulted a member of staff during the raid and ran over a woman in a stolen car on nearby Industry Street as they made their getaway.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
