Children at a north Derbyshire school took time off numeracy and literacy – to learn all about how to stay safe.
Police community support officer Anthony Boswell visited Eyam Primary School to talk to youngsters about the importance of staying safe, road safety and stranger danger as part of their topic on ‘people who help us’.
He said: “School visits are a fantastic way for us to engage with the children from an early age and educate them about staying safe.
“It is important the children get to know their safer neighbourhood team and the role that we play in the community.
“The children seemed to really enjoy the morning and we had lots of input from them about crossing the road safely and the importance of staying close to parents when out and about.”
PCSO Boswell visited Bradwell Pre-School earlier in the week.
