POLICE patrols have been stepped up in a North Derbyshire village following complaints of graffiti, underage drinking and litter.
Officers are focusing on Mastin Moor Community Gardens on Worksop Road, following reports of youths congregating there and causing nuisance.
Youngsters have been spotted drinking alcohol and leaving empty bottles and cans in gardens.
Benches have been vandalised and rubbish has been dumped in the pond.
One teenager has received an £80 fixed penalty notice for disorder and alcohol has been seized from youngsters caught drinking.
Letters will be sent home to the parents of children regularly caught in the gardens.
