Police are searching for tricksters who conned their way into the homes of three Chesterfield pensioners.
The first victim – a 75-year-old woman from Church Street, Barlborough – opened her door to a man asking for directions at around 2.30pm on Friday.
Once he had gone she discovered that her handbag had been taken from her kitchen.
At 3.45pm the same day an 85-year-old woman from Clay Lane, Clay Cross, opened her door to a woman asking if she would take a parcel in.
The conwoman then asked for a glass of water and after she had gone the pensioner realised that cash had gone missing.
At around 1pm on Saturday an 82-year-old woman from Market Street, Clay Cross, had money stolen after three men tricked their way into her house to talk to her about windows.
The woman from the second incident was in her mid to late 20s, white, with short, light brown hair. She wore dark trousers and a T-shirt.
