Police search for owner of dog which bit jogger in Chesterfield park

Police are searching for the owner of a dog that bit a runner in a Chesterfield park.

The victim was jogging through Holmebrook Valley Park, off Water Meadow Lane, at about 9am on Wednesday, December 10 when she was attacked.

She ran around a corner and was confronted by a large German Shepherd, which bit her on the arm.

A Derbyshire Police spokeswoman said: “The woman needed hospital treatment and has been left shaken by the incident.

“Police would like to speak to the owner of the dog and are appealing for her to come forward.

“She was aged in her 40s and was wearing a distinctive coat that was pink on the top half and purple on the bottom.”
