EIGHT suspects arrested over an armed robbery outside a bank have been bailed pending further inquiries.
The men were arrested in a series of police raids after a G4S security van loaded with cash was ambushed outside the Royal Bank of Scotland, High Street, Swallownest, last Tuesday.
Four men aged between 17 and 22 were arrested two days after the robbery and a further four, all in their 30s, were arrested later.
Police said robbers escaped with a ‘large quantity’ of cash but have not revealed how much. Call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020.
