A WEEK-long campaign was launched in South Yorkshire today to crackdown on motorists and passengers who fail to wear seatbelts.
The campaign will involve officers carrying out operations at known casualty hotspots across the county.
Officers will also be looking for motorists using mobiles.
Chief Inspector Stuart Walne said: “Putting on your seat belt should be part of your routine before even starting your car engine.
As a driver you are responsible for ensuring that all passengers are wearing seat belts.”
