A WINDOW was removed from a Sheffield school by a burglar or gang who broke in to steal cash.

Staff discovered the burglary at Ecclesall Infant School, High Storrs Road, when they turned up for work on Wednesday.

A window in the school office had been removed and cash was missing.

There was no other damage caused to the building and nothing else was found to be missing.

A school spokeswoman said: “They must have broken in during the middle of the night.

“Everyone, including the children, is really upset somebody has been inside our school.”
