Police probe road rage on the Parkway

POLICE investigating an allegation of road rage on the Sheffield Parkway are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

A white Mercedes and a white Vauxhall Insignia are said to have been involved in the incident as they both travelled away from the city between 9.55am and 10.10am last Wednesday, July 13.

The Mercedes was being driven by a white man, aged between 35 and 37.

The Vauxhall was being driven by a 37-year-old man.

Police said that the Mercedes was reportedly ‘cutting up’ the other vehicle and braking heavily in front of the Insignia on the section of road between Handsworth and junction 33 of the M1.

Witnesses, or anyone who saw the way in which the cars were being driven, should call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020 and quote incident 270 of July 13, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
