POLICE patrols of Hillsborough Park, Sheffield, are to be stepped up now that nights are getting lighter.
The patrols were ordered after residents said they wanted anti-social behaviour in and around the park dealt with as a policing priority.
Officers are also patrolling the car park of Morrisons supermarket, Penistone Road, Hillsborough, to crack down on vehicles being used there in an anti-social way.
South Yorkshire Police said a number of special operations are also planned.
A force spokesman said: “Previous operations like this have resulted in people being given fines and some vehicles being recovered and towed away.”
