Extra police patrols have been ordered on and around Abbeydale Road in Sheffield following reports of youths hurling water bombs and stones at cars and pedestrians.
Inspector Ian Stubbs, whose safer neighbourhood team covers the area, said Broadfield Park and Empire Road have had problems.
He said around 25 youths had been identified as being involved and will be visited at their homes by the police.
Insp Stubbs added: “Can I ask that if you live in the area you report any incidents of anti-social behaviour at the time. We will have staff in the area every evening, and knowing what is happening is a great help. Please be assured that we take it very seriously and will do everything we can.”
