POLICE are hunting a man who held a gun at a members of staff working in a Chesterfield shop.
The armed robber struck at Spar on Matlock Road, Chesterfield, at around 9.25pm on Thursday, November 22 - pointing a gun at a shop worker and demanding cash.
He grabbed cash from the till and fled.
The robber was between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build and was wearing a dark balaclava, dark clothing and black gloves.
Police are linking the robbery with three other similar offences in Chesterfield over recent weeks - at Tesco Express, Newbold Road, at 11.50pm on Thursday, November 15, at Peveril Filling Station on Sheffield Road at around 8.25pm on Saturday, November 17 and at the Co-op on Wardgate Way at 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 20.
Detective Chief Inspector Sean Dawson said: “This type of incident is very unusual in Chesterfield and we are treating these robberies seriously.
“Thankfully no-one has been injured but they are very distressing for the victims.
“We have reason to believe these robberies are linked and that the same person may be responsible.”
