A QUAD bike and off-road motorbike were seized by police in Chesterfield thanks to help from local residents.
Officers from the Barrow Hill and Whittington Safer Neighbourhood Team came across nuisance riders during routine patrols on Friday and with the help of local residents found the machines after they were dumped.
One was found abandoned in a garden on Woodford Way, Barrow Hill, and while they were waiting for it to be recovered they found another nearby.
PCSO Sheila Rooksby, of the Barrow Hill and Whittington Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We hope this serves as a warning to those using bikes to cause nuisance that we will use our powers to confiscate them. We urge members of the community to report any illegal bikes in the area.”
