Police are appealing for help in tracing thieves responsible for stealing boilers from empty council houses in the city.
Officers say there has been a spate of offences in Gleadless Valley.
In one of the latest offences reported to South Yorkshire Police, a boiler was stolen from an unoccupied house on Blackstock Road on Saturday afternoon.
Inspector Stubbs, whose Safer Neighbourhood Team covers the estate, said: “We are seeing an increase again in theft of boilers from council properties particularly in Gleadless Valley.
“If anyone has any information about who is involved then please get in touch.
