Detectives have released an E-fit of a man they want to trace after a woman was threatened with a crowbar.
Police were called after a woman pulled up outside her home in Hoober, Rotherham, and found two men walking from the rear of her property.
She asked the duo what they were doing and was threatened by one of them, who she believed was armed with a crowbar.
The men left in a silver coloured car and when police arrived it was discovered that attempts had been made to force entry to the house.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Officers are appealing to the public to assist in identifying a man wanted for an attempted burglary in Rotherham.
“On Friday, January 30, between 2pm and 2.30pm, two men were seen to walk from the rear garden of a property in Hoober onto the driveway as the resident returned home in her car.
“The woman asked what they were doing and one of the men threatened her with what is reported to be a crowbar.
“Both men then left the scene in a silver coloured car and the woman contacted the police. Attempts had been made to force entry into the property.”
