POLICE are trying to trace a teenage boy captured on CCTV who they want to speak to over an alleged incident of racial abuse in Rotherham.
Officers want to speak to the mystery teenager, who they believe maybe able to help with their investigation into the incident.
Police launched a probe into the alleged abuse on Sunday, March 24, after a Sheffield man reported being the victim of racially motivated abuse at Rotherham Interchange.
The man, who works at the Interchange, went to speak to a group of young people after they were seen causing a disturbance.
While he was talking to the group, one teenager is said to have become abusive to him.
The boy is aged being between 16 and 18-years-old, white and has dark brown hair.
He is around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a black baseball cap with a red peak.
A police spokesman said: “A member of staff at the Interchange went over to speak to a group of young people after they were seen causing a disturbance. Whilst speaking with the group, one boy became abusive to him subjecting him to verbal abuse of a racial nature.”
Anyone who knows the boy on the CCTV still should call police on 101.
